The Dolphins

Last summer was, the most fantastic season, that we've had in our 15 year history and we expect this year to be the same! The only down side of the 2003 season was not being able to accomodate all the people who wanted to join us. If you are interested in a trip please let us know as soon as possible so that there will be space for you. We take no more than 10 guests. We feel that keeping the number of guests to a minimum makes the interactions more eco-oriented and respectful for the dolphins and a more intimate experience for our guests.

Dolphin Cove is a family adventure where you can meet exciting animals and experience swimming and playing with dolphins. It adjoins Dunn’s River Falls and is a natural cove surrounded by lush tropical rain forest.

You can have an extraordinary adventure at Dolphin Cove as you enter a natural cove to swim, play and touch the beautiful bottlenose dolphins. There is a brief orientation before the trainers take you to meet the dolphins.

You will get to know the animals and learn about their behavior and how their trainers communicate with them by “hand signals”. Then be able to play, touch, get kissed, and perhaps a get a push around the cove.

You can take a walk through the natural rain forest and tropical gardens and see rivers and waterfalls, view animals and birds indigenous to the tropics. See sharks in their own environment, or just wander and explore.

You can relax on a white sandy beach and enjoy the cool Caribbean breeze, snooze in a hammock and taste Jamaica’s finest grilled cuisine. Snorkel and swim under the hidden waterfall or kayak on the sea.

Dolphin Cove gives you the opportunity to learn more about Jamaica’s culture.

You can stay at Dolphin Cove for as long as you wish, leaving at your leisure…. No rush.

Dolphin Cove is wheelchair friendly. You will receive a warm welcome, the utmost service, and personal attention on escorted tours.

There is also a free shuttle bus service for hotel guests, cruise ship passengers and guests from Dunn’s River Falls. This allows you to arrive and leave at your own convenience.

Bar at James Bond Beach - Oracabessa
Oracabessa is where Golden Clouds Villa is located and is about 15 miles east of Ocho Rios, a very nice drive.  You can walk there from Golden Clouds.

"This year, entrepreneur Chris Blackwell (owner of Island Records and a Jamaican), reopened writer Ian Fleming's former home, Goldeneye, at Oracabessa Beach as one of four rental villas.  The area is private, but for five dollars nonguests can walk onto its sand strip, known as James Bond Beach (closed Monday).   A grander entrance can be made from the adjacent helipad.  Admission includes a free beer or soda and use of the changing room and water-sports rental center.   There is a basic bamboo lean-to with a thatches palm roof where you can get grilled fish or chicken with the local Bammy cake (bread like).  Cocktails exploit the Bond theme:  Order a Moonraker (strawberry-flavored rum drink) or a Goldfinger (pineapple and orange juice with two types of rum).  For a challenge, try to elicit the ingredients of a 007 from the barman

Time 'n' Place -Falmouth
Falmouth (about 30 minutes from Montego Bay or one hour from Ocho Rios) is located on the North Coast main road and you will pass as you drive from the airport to your villa in Ocho Rios.  Ask the driver to stop and have a drink.

"Just east of Falmouth, a crumbling Georgian jewel of a town, a sign by the side of the road announces, IF YOU GOT THE TIME, THEN WE GOT THE PLACE.  Stop.  Park in the shade.  You've found one of the most seductive beach bars in Jamaica.  Time 'n' Place is a bar and three cottages on a deserted two-mile-long beach.  The bar looks like it is built of driftwood with a thatched roof.   At the few tables and benches you can order superb jerk chicken or lobster, served either steamed or grilled, and have daiquiris made with fresh fruit.   A good selection of CDs and local radio stations keeps feet moving at night.   The atmosphere is simple and friendly, so you'd never know that this is a favorite of the New York fashion crowd, or that magazines like Vogue have used it for beach fashion shoots.  But once you've been here, you'll see why (876-954-4371).

Under Sea Tours.

The "Coral See", a new and unique vessel is a semi-sub reef explorer, where you can go down into the hull of the vessel.  Below, in the hull are panoramic viewing windows, where you can see the colorful marine life and fish of the Montego Bay
